Laurence Schroeder works at the intersection of high-volume studio publicity and precision visual craft. For more than two decades, he has shaped the imagery behind some of the most recognizable film and television franchises in the world.
From 2010 to 2021, he was part of The Walt Disney Studios’ publicity department, contributing to more than 50 major film campaigns — including every Marvel release since 2010 and every Lucasfilm production since 2011. His work spans magazine cover design, large-scale photo production and the finishing of film frames and unit stills for global publishing and consumer campaigns. His imagery has appeared on the covers of Entertainment Weekly, People and Rolling Stone, supporting releases such as Avengers: Endgame, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker and the debut cast photography for Black Panther.
In 2022, he joined the photo publicity team at CBS Television, working across scripted series, legacy franchises and live awards coverage. He has provided real-time retouching and live photo editing for the Golden Globes, Emmys and Grammy Awards — work that demands speed, discretion and technical accuracy under pressure.
Parallel to his visual career, Laurence has maintained an active life in music. Signed to Warner Bros. Records in his early twenties with his band ExtraVery, he recorded internationally and developed a hands-on understanding of studio production that continues to inform his approach to collaboration and workflow. Today, his audio work includes film sound mixing, podcast production and editing for Variety’s Strictly Business, as well as composing the theme music for the brand’s award-winning series Actors on Actors, Directors on Directors, Know Their Lines and GMs.
He lives in Los Angeles, where nearly every room doubles as some form of studio.
